ELECTRIC FOREST
ART PROPOSAL

Our whimsical sentient scavenger hunt will help our shy cuddle bots feel welcomed and loved when participants lounge in their hammocks, play in their fur and make profound connections around their cozy spaces. So take the opportunity to meet new friends and celebrate art, music and love with our furry bots....we promise, they won’t byte ;)

Hiding deep in the enchanted forest, among the maze of mighty oaks and majestic pines, roams a family of furry and lovable robots recently released from captivity. Once forced to manufacture harmful products for humans, weapons of mass destruction and diabolical software, our fuzzy bots are now free to spread the peace, love and joy for which they’d always pined but their freedom has been a bit overwhelming.

CONCEPTUALIZATION

We would free a whole new series of smaller cuddly robots at Electric Forest for humans to find as a part of EF's scavenger hunt. Each day would be a different experience as our crew will be secretly moving the bots to new locations with new fur coats every night, during off hours, making 3-4 robots seem like dozens by the end of the week.

Participants will receive an illustrated checklist of our hidden bytes at the scavenger hunt booth. Each of our bots will have a big “Hello my name is” sticker with a QR code that will bring them to life with augmented reality to tell their story of freedom and give participants the magic phrase, like  “We celebrate your freedom with love and respect”.

Reciting the phrase to the hunt monitors will unlock their reward for helping us show some robot love. The reward can anything from our signature Byte necklaces to our limited trippy stickers!

BYTE: A ROBOT STORY

Byte is a family of furry lovable robot who were liberated from robot slavery. Once being forced to do some of humans most terrible bidding, these robots are now free to bring light, love and whimsy to the world as they’d always dreamed!

Chip and Terra were the very first of our robots to be liberated at Burning Man in 2018! They have, since, fully embraced their radical self expression and helped us liberate myriad more robots around the country.

From San Diego to Miami, Byte continues to free new bots and create new experiences at many of the most beloved arts and music gatherings across the country, elevating vibes and exuding furry love. We can't help but feel the calling to finally bring that experience to Sherwood Forest. With its brilliantly illuminated art and deciduous home, Electric Forest celebrates technology in nature the way we celebrate technology becoming nature, the alignment is nothing less than cosmic harmony.

So let's free some fuzzy lovable Bytes in Sherwood Forest!
